Fun at the Pumpkin Farm!

A day before Halloween I finally had some time to take Chloe to a pumpkin patch. We called up our favorite cousin (we can still say that!) and her mom to see if they wanted to join us. They did, so we packed up the girls and headed to the farm! The girls had a fun time and we found a few pumpkins to take home for carving!

Me and Chloe enjoying the hay ride!

Chloe and Scarlett checking out the pumpkins

It looks like they are fighting over this pumpkin!
They aren't, Chloe's trying to sit on it and
Scarlett needs it to stand up! :)

Playing in the hay!

What is this scratchy stuff?

Chloe trying to catch the lambs and goats!

Aww! It's just Chloe's size!

Look mom, it likes me!

All tuckered out!!!

Pre Halloween Party!

Our next door neighbors (Kevin and Claire) have a little boy just a year older than Chloe. Claire and I have talked several times about getting Chloe and Andrew (that is his name) together and so far haven't managed to do it! Last week Chloe and I were walking around the block (something we do when she gets restless and needs to run around) and we saw Claire and Andrew. She invited us to a little Halloween party she was having for Andrew and a few of his friends. Anyway, to make a long story short, we went and had a great time!!! Chloe's "real" costume hadn't arrived in time for the party so we scrounged around the house and remembered we had got her a little hula outfit when we were in Hawaii! Here are some pictures from our fun afternoon!

Getting ready to go to the party! (We had a very cute lei that went on her head but she refused to even wear it for a picture!!)

Enjoying all the new toys to play with!!!

What a cute little fireman!

All the kids playing with their pumpkin balloons!

More playing!

Andrew was a cute green dragon!

What's a Halloween party without a superhero!!

New Stats for Chloe

This is long overdue, but since we just had Chloe's 15 month check-up it seemed like an appropriate time to go over some of the new stuff about Chloe!
1. She weighs 27.7 lbs (which explains why my back aches when I lift her out of things!)
2. Chloe is 31.5 inches tall
3. She loves shoes and this is one of her new words. In fact she made me put some shoes on over her footie pajamas this morning!
3. She LOVES going outside!
4. Some words she says are: dog, woof, kitty, uh-oh, pretty, plane, night-night, and water. (I'm sure I'm forgetting some, but these are the consistent words she says).
Basically she is at a really fun stage right now! She is so inquisitive and wants to see and touch everything. I will post pictures soon!

Nana's Birthday!

Wednesday was Nana's birthday, but we all got together and had a little birthday celebration this weekend!
Nana and her Grand-girlies!

Happy Birthday Nana!

Don't look at the candles too closely... Apparently I can't spell! :)

Harvest Festival

Last weekend was the Harvest Festival, so Joe and I took Chloe to check out the Giant pumpkins and some of the other fun stuff around. Unfortunately Chloe was also sick, so she wasn't able to to fully enjoy herself.

Check out the huge pumpkins behind me and Chloe!

Another look at the pumpkins!

Not feeling her best here... Poor baby!

The only thing Chloe really worked
up any enthusiasm for was looking
at all of the pumpkins.

They had a Pumpkin Regatta, which looked like it was going to be pretty fun, but we had to leave before it truly got underway.

Maybe next year we can stay for the finish!

I'm Quite the Handy Ma'm

Since Joe was gone hunting, I spent several evenings being quite handy (IMHO).

I went to IKEA with Kyra and Marya and
bought this bathroom cabinet. It came in
a flat box (as all IKEA stuff does) with a 20
page instruction manual! Let's just say that
this one took me more than one evening!!!
Looks good now, though! :)

I copied Juan and Cari and bought some
lights for our bookshelves... They have to
be screwed into place too! I didn't know that
when I bought them... I might have thought
a little longer about buying them if I had known!
I love them now that they're up, though! :)

We don't have blinds on our sliding glass door, so I bought
some curtains so that at least I can't see the boogie man
in our backyard!!! Weird as it sounds I felt so much better
with these up and closed when Joe was gone!!! :)

Sagey and Chloe having fun!

I thought Chloe looked particularly cute last Sunday in her Sailor outfit, so I wanted to get a picture of her. She had other ideas, and so did Sage! For some time now Chloe and Sage have started to "play" with each other. Chloe will run up to Sage, and then kind of stomp her feet around and if that doesn't do the trick she will get down on the ground and try to get his attention that way! This was what ensued as I was trying to get her picture! I thought it was hard to get a picture of just Chloe, but trying to get her and a dog that is tearing around the house is even harder!

One for the camera!

Sage is right behind Chloe in this picture!

Chloe is getting ready to make her move!

Now she's down at his level!

This ought to do the trick!

Okay, fine! I'm gonna go lean on you, then!!!

Here she is coming to get Sage!!
