Spring Break!

We went to Palm Springs during Chloe's Spring Break... It definitely takes some getting used to having to plan things around a school schedule!  It seemed like a really fast trip because we didn't leave until Monday and it's about an 8 hour drive for us, (I'm sure it can be done faster!) and we also broke up our trip by going to see my Aunt Pam and Uncle Tom in Lake Havasu City (which is about 3 hours away from Palm Springs).  So needless to say, we were in the car plenty, but it was all worth it!!

In Lake Havasu with my Aunt Pam, we went to a park down by the lake where the kids could run around and play!

Sammy having fun on the slide!

Down by the lake Sammy watching the birds.

Eli and Chloe trying to feed the birds

My Uncle Tom had taken Joe on a ride in their Razor, and then they met up with us at the London Bridge

Feeding the pigeons under the London Bridge

The birds were a little aggressive and scary!

One actually jumped up on Chloe's hand and tried to take the bread!! I missed getting a picture of that, of course!

The famous London Bridge!

We walked along the river looking at all the Spring Breakers... It wasn't too wild, but Tom and Pam said it was much crazier the week before!

The end of our walk!

The kids with Uncle Tom and Aunt Pam... Sammy had fallen asleep in the stroller by now!

And Eli was tired too, so a shoulder ride by Uncle Tom was perfect!!

Sleepy Sammy

It was so nice to see my Aunt and Uncle and we even got to see Derek after work one night, and Malia for a few minutes before she had to go to work!!

Back in Palm Springs we went to the Children's Museum with Nana and Papa!  The kids loved it and had so much fun doing all the different activities!

Here they are being archeologists!

Eli checking out the bone or fossil or whatever it was supposed to be in there!

This looked like so much fun!  Who wouldn't want to paint a bug?

I wonder how many coats of paint this poor bug has?

Eli loved this!

He was too busy making motorcycle noises and "driving" the motorcycle to look at me for a picture!

A little grocery shopping!

Both kids loved this seat/pulley thing!

The Pizza Parlor was so cute... Sammy trying to rip Eli's hat off!

Eli whipping up a pizza for Papa!

Bringing the pizza to Papa... It hit the floor before it made it to the table!

Dress up... Chloe's favorite!

Sidewalk chalk

Sammy and Daddy!
Other than the Children's Museum we just hung out at the house lounging (or in the kids case) and swimming in the pool!!

I got the kids snorkel gear... they didn't like the snorkel, but the the fins and mask were a hit!

Goofy girl!

Joe soaking in the hot tub!

Sam spent most of his time on the other side of the fence... away from the pool, but he didn't seem to mind too much!

Our last night there we joined some of the friends in their weekly volleyball game! It was so fun to see Nathan, Jordan, and the kids!

The kids loved playing with Kaleb and Mariah in the sand!

We had so much fun and can't wait to go back again!!

  4. It looks like you guys had an amazing trip. I've never been to Palm Springs. I absolutely love the picture of them sleeping in the box, I've heard of playing with boxes but not sleeping in them. :)
