A Beautiful Saturday

We just got a new bike trailer for the kids and have been wanting to try it out, so since the weather was extra beautiful this weekend we planned a little bike ride with Juan and Scarlett on the American River. Cari stayed home since she's about to have baby number 2, giving her a little peace and quiet which is at a premium these days! Juan led the way since he'd been on the trail a lot more than us.

Where we stopped so the girls could stretch their legs and throw some rocks!

Auntie Nicole was down for the
weekend so she came along too!

The bikes

Me and Elijah

Sweet little "Lijah"

When we turned around to go back we put the
girls in the trailer together... It kind of worked...
There was a little binky stealing and ball fighting!

But they're always best of friends!

Looking at the river was fun until Chloe dropped
her binky into the river... That was quite traumatic
and she's still talking about it! We are going to have
a hard time giving those things up!

I love it when they hold hands!

So sweet

We ended the day at Juan and Cari's where the girls rough housed around and wore each other out. It was such a fun day!

  5. what fun! bike rides are the best- we can't decide if we should invest in bikes here or not- seems like a big hassle to move... but we have the best bike path right along the ocean- makes me sad to not use it! that's awesome that nicole could come up and join the fun, how far is it for her? your kids are just the sweetest things ever- i just want to squeeze little elijah! chloe holding hands is TOO cute- i think i would have a full on panic attack if aidan lost his boppie while we were out- wouldn't be good news that's for sure! mom said i was pretty obsessive about my binks- two a time i'm told! and in response to your comment... breaking out into 'ice ice baby' is healthy for a person once in awhile, lol!! picturing you doing so made me smile- hee hee! =) HUGS (sorry for the book!)

  6. Loved seeing all the pictures...it's so much fun seeing the chillin's growing up...they're so sweet....I could so relate with the binky stealing/then the bink falling into the water...I remember exact incidents and it wasn't fun!!! I thot it would be horrible for Anna to give up her binks since she absolutely loved them sooooo much, but just before she turned 3 (you could reason with her pretty much by then) and we talked about it a lot and at 3 I told her she was such a big girl now and we would get rid of them, and so we threw them away together and that was the end!!! Amazing, I've heard you can tell them you're giving them to the other children that don't have binkys and need them....that sounds pretty logical too :-)
