Backyard Camp-out!!

Well I figure I had better get this blog updated before the baby comes, and since that could be any day now- I guess I had better start updating!!

Way back at the end of July, Joe and the kids had a backyard camp-out!  I decided to skip this camp-out and sleep in our nice cozy bed... being quite pregnant and all!

 

     The kids were so excited that they were pretending to go to sleep at about 6:00 PM

I think Joe fell asleep first!

Unfortunately I forgot to put a pull-up on Chloe and at about 2:00 AM she woke up soaked and cold, so they all trooped back into the house to finish out the night!  It was fun while it lasted though!  I had the house to myself for the evening so I got a lot of laundry and cleaning done!  Exciting stuff like that happens around here! :)

Could They Be Any Cuter?

I am the mother, so obviously I'm a bit biased, but I really don't think they could be much cuter!! 

While we were in Idaho we had my cousin's very talented wife take Chloe and Eli's pictures, and as you can see she did a great job!  If you want to see more of what she has done she has a portrait blog you can visit here.  

The kids actually enjoyed having their pictures taken this time around so it was a lot more fun and we got a lot more pictures to choose from- that's what I call a win-win!

After the Cabin...

We spent some time at Mom and Dad's place in Weiser.  We always have such a good time there, and after spending a few days without a/c or indoor plumbing it felt quite luxurious to be in a house!

There were these huge thistles on the path to the river that you had to be careful of, but I love how beautiful they are in spite of their danger!

    Ted and Mari came and brought Kobi too so they all 

      went down to the river to try and catch some fish!  

    This was one of the minnows they were using as bait!

Eli wasn't too sure about it!

There is a little lake about 10 miles from the house that we spent an afternoon at... It had a nice sandy beach area which the kids loved!

We spent another day up at Grandpa and Grandma's

We borrowed Remington's slip and slide, which Chloe loved!

Aunt Christy and Jessica were there so we got to spend some

time with them too, which was extra nice!

We had such a nice time and always look forward to spending some time with some of those that we don't get to see very often!!
