We Will Miss Them!

These lovely folks will be leaving our fair state and we will miss them! We had them over for dinner tonight and snapped a family picture before they left!

Last Thursday night there was a good-bye potluck for them at Don and Eve's. It was a great evening with lots of food and fun for everyone!

The young kids

Luke with his usual toy of choice- a ball... or two!

Elijah watching all the action

The big boys playing ball

This little fairy was flitting about!

Eli jabbering away, as usual!

The girls all in pink... Getting late and a little spacey!

Coloring

We pulled out the color crayons the other day and Elijah thought it was super fun to scribble away on his piece of paper until the temptation to chew on the crayon became too much!!!

Very into coloring, and it looks like he will be
right handed like Chloe! No lefty, yet!

Chloe making a ladder- I don't know why she likes to draw them, but she does!

Her wand in never far away, you never know when you'll need one!

One of the best pictures I've seen Chloe draw! A face- eyes, nose, smiley face and ears on the sides!!

Superboy!

I got Eli these cute little Superboy jammies and he decided that they looked great with pink Fancy Nancy sunglasses! That's the price you pay for having an older sister, I guess! :) He loves wearing glasses and thinks he's hilarious when he puts them on!

Chloe thought it looked like fun and had to try them on too!

Superboy surrounded by pink!

Such a cutie!

The ripped out belly cracks me up since it's covering his little pot belly!

Soaring around with daddy!

And then giving loves!

Where are the boys?

Last Sunday evening we had the pleasure of spending the evening with our good friends Amy and Jeremy and their two cute boys!! We used to be able to see them a lot more, but since they've moved halfway across the map it's a little harder- NOT that we're complaining!!! We had a fun evening of catching up and the best part was that the kids played together wonderfully!!

The kids getting rowdy!! Just before bedtime, of course!

Quieting down a bit with some books! So cute!

All aboard!!

A cute endnote to the story is that because everyone had to leave so early in the morning for their flight, we didn't see them off the next morning, so when Chloe woke up the first thing she asked me was "where are the boys?" I told her that they went back to their town, and she promply replied that she wanted to go to this town too! I love how fast kids make friends with other kids!

Great Grandma Ruth's 90th and Aunt Eve's 87th Birthday Bash!

Two weekends ago we helped celebrate Joe's grandma's 90th birthday and his Great Aunt Eve's 87th birthday! The party was at Don and Eve's, and since the weather was so hot that weekend we were thankful for the pool!! It's always fun to get together with family, and this was quite a large gathering with a lot of family I had never met before.

Elijah looking like a cool dude in Papa's shades!

Happy smiles in Nana's arms!

Chloe wet from the pool!

Grandma Ruth getting ready for the pinata!

Let me at it!

She gave it quite the whack!!

All the little kids lined up!

Scarlett giving it a try!

Chloe next... wouldn't want to be without her pearls and heels!

Trying to get into the orange that was in the first pinata

Joe trying to rock Eli to sleep

Fruit snacks for everyone!!

Chloe helps Grandma Ruth blow out her candle!
